Thinking about taking a mini-vacation this winter? Looking for that perfect place to cross-country ski, snowshoe, or hike? Long to spend some quality time with your loved ones or friends? Or, would your small party of hunters like a great place to stay each night after a full-day of hunting?

Ever think how nice it would be to have a get-away spot for you and yours only? No crowds to fight; no waiting for others to make their moves so you can make yours? How does the thought of having 30 acres of pristine woods and trails to explore all to yourself sound?

We’ve recently built a log cabin on our property on the New York – Pennsylvania border. The cabin, decorated in a rustic nature-based theme, is ideal for a get-away for a couple, up to 4 adults, or a small family.

The cabin is equipped with a completely modern kitchen complete with electric stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishes/silverware and coffee-maker. You provide your favorite foods and beverages. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and lots of fluffy towels.

The living room is comfortable and cozy. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed (cots are available for additional sleeping if needed). Bed linens are provided. The front porch stretches the entire width of the cabin and overlooks a wonderful little pond and the majestic hills of Pennsylvania.
 

The view is one you have to experience to believe. And, while this may not appeal to everyone, we think one of the best features is that this beautiful cabin is “telecommunication-free” by design. No TV; no phone. We’ve intended this cabin to be an escape; a place to re-connect with friends or family. We’ve even stocked it with good old-fashioned board games like Scrabble, Chess, and Monopoly. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and totally relaxing.

The cabin setting and surrounding acreage is ideal for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking. The 5+ miles of groomed trails start right outside your door and connect with the NYS game lands offering several more miles of trails. And, once the snow is on the ground, it pretty much stays there until the spring thaw. Wildlife abounds. It is common to see deer and turkey. Many kinds of birds may be spotted – occasionally even a bald eagle soaring above. Depending upon the time of year, it is not unheard of to spot a black bear or two. If downhill skiing is your passion, Elk Mountain Ski Resort is 20 miles to the south. Greek Peak in New York State is approximately an hour’s drive to the north.

For the benefit of all, we allow no smoking in the cabin. As much as we love our animals, we understand that not everyone shares our enthusiasm so, while we allow no pets in the cabin, for a nominal fee we will board your dog at our kennels during the night giving you the opportunity to let Fido accompany you during your daytime activities.

Rates for Cabin Rental & Complete Trail / Property Access
Cabin is available for rent October 1st through April 1st. Dates and rates are subject to change.

Mid-Week Special (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday):
2 Nights - $600 + tax; 3 Nights - $800 + tax
2 Night Weekend (Friday & Saturday Nights): $ 900 + tax
7 Nights (Saturday to Saturday): $1,500 + tax

The following conditions apply:
• Minimum 2 Night stay required.
• 50% non-refundable deposit required within 1 week of making reservation.
• Remainder plus a $200 security deposit is due upon arrival. The security deposit will be refunded upon a checkout inspection on the day of departure.
• A certified bank check, money order, or cash is required. No personal checks will be accepted. We do not accept credit cards.
